Rivian internships are experiences optimized for student candidates. To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term with an expected graduation date of December 2023 or May/June 2024.  If you are not pursuing a degree, please see our full-time positions at Rivian.com/careers

Requirements:   

• Be part of a world-class team, with a focus on high quality and rapid project deployment.

• Must be available for a FULL-TIME arrangement during the term of this internship.

Qualifications:   

• Actively enrolled in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics or closely related degree from an accredited University or College at the time of the internship.
• Strong coding experience with C / C++ and/or Python.
• Fluent in software fundamentals and software testing.  
• Embedded Systems Development.
• Experience/knowledge of Linux, Thermnet, CAN, RTOS (real time operating systems), Source Code Control Experience (i.e., GIT), Networking fundamentals https/TCP/IP, Cyber Security, Oscilloscopes, multimeters.
• Previous experience or research with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
• Deep understanding of geometry-based Computer Vision approaches (Structure-from Motion, Stereo vision, SLAM, Visual Odometry).
• Experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, MxNet, PyTorch.  
• Hands on Hardware/Embedded experience
• Ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.  
• Capable of working as a member of a team across several cross functional disciplines, including with external stakeholders.  
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
