Hardware / Firmware Engineer

This function is responsible for developing Electronic Hardware and Firmware for Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCB), using the latest Electronic Technologies.


Your key responsibilities:

  • Performing technical feasibility studies for new functions, products and applications
  • Providing high level technical skills in Electronic and Firmware design (analogue, digital, mixed signal, Embedded Systems, PLDs...)
  • Performing and supporting design and calculations of electrical aspects (Design For Six Sigma)
  • Designing and simulating electronic circuits and drawing electronic schematics
  • Preparing design and test documentation, as well as technical information and storing it in databases
  • Building up prototypes, arranging and supporting the manufacturing of test samples and initial production runs
  • Leading safety, climatic and endurance tests both internally and with external test houses to ensure CE conformity for our products


Qualifications

Your Profile:


  • Technical College (HTL), Technical University Degree
  • At least 5 years of experience in the field of Embedded Systems Development
  • Proven experience with at least one microcontroller platform and at least one RTOS platform
  • Deep knowledge of analogue and digital simulation, Digital prototyping (e.g. SPICE, Matlab, Simulink, PLECS)
  • Functional Safety skills are welcome
  • Fluent in English and German language skills preferred
  • Good Team Player - but still able to solve issues autonomously, able to work in international teams
